Ladies. THIS IS HAPPENING. Our first ever Brown Skin Women FitBit Get Fit Challenge.
A couple months ago my honey bought me this cute teal fitbit so the two of us could challenge one another with steps. It has been SO much fun. My brain ALWAYS ventures to my Brown Skin Women and how I can have the fun with you all so this challenge was born.
We will begin with part 1: a warm up Weekend Warrior challenge this Saturday (11/26) to work off our Thanksgiving indulgance...however you want to refer to it.
We will continue with part 2: a 5 day Workweek Hustle Challenge from Monday December 5th through Friday December 9th.
Here is how it works...
Do this. Like actually do this.
I wake up every morning. I "slay" most of the time (when life doesn't slow me down) but I don't always pray. I was raised in church. I know the value of prayer. More importantly, I know the value in constantly working to be the best possible version of myself. Here continues my road of transformation.
I decided to start a 30 day #wakeprayslaychallenge to see just how the intention and action can positively impact my world and I want you to join me. Starting this morning (Saturday November 5, 2016):
I mind my own business. I don't stick my nose in other people's affairs unless it impacts me directly.
I try my best to avoid giving my opinion unless I'm asked, or I feel I can positively impact a situation in some way.
I'm I selectively discuss politics and religion. I respect others point of view even If I don't agree with it. I am sensitive to people's emotions and spaces.
By day and night I'm a blogger, I love a good picture and the perfect backdrop. Almost as much as I love discovering things I didn't realize I was missing.
During much needed me time to unplug in Boston on Sunday/Monday I took this picture of what was supposed to capture the screen display on my new Fitbit (gifted by my honey). By 10:30am I had already walked 10,000 steps. Which is the recommended daily amount according to the American Heart Association. I've become OBSESSED with reaching this goal, being certain to move a lot more.
